Cricket World Cup, Fifa Football World Cup are some examples. As Associate Media Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for quickly resolving highly technical, complex issues in real time. You will be working directly with our customers’ technical operations teams in defining issues, resolving them, or leading a cross-functional team to drive resolutions.You will be:Utilizing the Broadcast Operations Control Center’s suite of tools to closely monitor our customers’ streaming workflows and servicesQuickly diagnose issues encountered during live streaming eventsClearly communicate with customers via Instant Messaging platforms, Telephone, email, and occasional face-to-face contact to ensure that you understand the issue and they understand the resolutionWork independently with our customers’ technical teams on issues during Live Events. The investigation of technical issues may involve complex data analysis from Akamai’s distributed network and an in-depth examination of the interaction between Akamai and the customer’s infrastructureWork closely with and manage issue-specific cross-functional teams composed of Engineering, Operations, Sales, Professional Services, and Account Management, representativesAssume a technical account management role for designated named accounts or strategic customers by analyzing existing technical issues and proposing solutions for the customerManage custom support of special high-profile network eventsTo be successful in this role you will:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Good Comprehension skills and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projectsKnowledge of how the Internet works (HTTP, DNS, Streaming, etc.)Knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/IP, ICMP)Familiarity with following technologies will be added advantage: Internet Streaming (HTTP Live Streaming, Dash etc.),Encoding, CDN, Cloud technologiesWorking for you:At Akamai, we will provide you with opportunities to grow, flourish, and achieve great things.
