Job Description:Job Description: General Manager will be responsible for day-to-day support to the President/CEO of Organization and the Program Managers as well as customer service needs of Organizations Program Department team, Organizations team, faculty, and other constituents. The role of the General Manager will mainly cover the following: Operations (Program Related) HR & Admin Financial & Legal PR & Media support Team Building and Networking with Deans/Faculty and Students all over India Fund Raising and Business Development support Summary of Primary Objections: To manage the day-to-day operations and continued development and implementation of programs delivered by Organization on tertiary/university campuses To ensure that Organizations Worldwide vision and strategic priorities are reflected in Organization Indias operations, as it relates to Program To ensure that each Organization team within the operation has an active Faculty Advisor and meets Organizations minimum criteria as well as its quality-program requirements (Team Index) To ensure that programmatic goals are achieved - including but not limited to Active Teams, Active Students, Average Student Per Team, Competing Teams, Team Index Score Core Responsibilities: Manages other staff responsible for day-to-day program activities and initiatives provides coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities Establishes processes/protocols for the following, provides oversight and management where necessary and in collaboration with Country Leader: Recruitment of new academic institutions into the Organization network Approval of the appointment of Faculty Advisors Training initiatives/programs of Organizations Team Recommendation of Business Advisory Board Members to teams Assurance that Organization students meet Organization Worldwide/Indias Code of Conduct requirements Ensuring that all Organization team participation-requirements for the National Competition are understood and met by both the Faculty Advisors and teams Creation of new, localized programmatic tools and resources Coordination and management of Faculty Advisory Council, Alumni Association, Team Leader Committee, or any other special initiative Establishment of positive relationships with academic, governmental, and other key associations Development and implementation of communication plan to teams Development and execution of internal programmatic awards Participation in annual programmatic goal-setting, including but not limited to growth goals related to the number of Organizations team and students in India Details Responsibilities: Daily Administrational Work, including reporting, HR, trade mark, coordination with financial server provider, tax and foreign exchange claim and sponsors payment. Supervise Program Management, including campus recruitment, training and team management Manage revenue tracking and supervise sponsor account service and benefit delivery Supervise strategic partnership project delivery and communication with sponsor Co-Organize and supervise regional and national competitions, and other key program and fundraising events Facilitate on New sponsorship development- meet prospect, project idea generating and proposal writing and follow-up Facilitate on government relations and public relations Supervise marketing, social network and website operation
Desired Candidate ProfileKey Characteristics and Experience: Passion for and understanding of Organization. Results-driven individual able to give evidence of establishing goals, planning and follow-up skills, and achieving goals. Willingness to work from the INDIA office in Mumbai (Andheri West). Moderate Travel required domestic and international. Education Requirements & Experience: Degree Business, Education or Communication preferred. 2-5 years business or non-profit experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher. Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills as needed to perform duties in a professional, business-like manner must be able to provide evidence of effectively communicating one-on-one, in groups, through presentations, at networking events, and by phone/email. Organization and time-management skills to plan, organize tasks, and set priorities for responsibilities must be able to provide evidence of multi-tasking, attention to detail and utilization of organizational skills. Computer skills (give evidence of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new products working knowledge of databases a plus). Problem-solving skills in dealing with a variety of interests and personalities. Conflict resolution skills to maintain professionalism when encountering individuals. Excellent project management, presentation, and coaching skills. Abilities: Ability to regularly operate desktop and/or laptop computer utilizing various software packages and programs such as Windows 2008, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint and other packages as needed (e.g., desktop publishing). Ability to utilize Internet for research and ability to utilize electronic mail medium. Ability to read and write in English and write with correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to interface regularly with campus faculty and administrators, university-level students, volunteers, business/industry/government/and other clients and students/class participants, and comfort in interfacing with a variety of individuals, organizations, and businesses. Ability to learn policies and procedures of the Organization. Ability to work independently under direction from supervisor and work as a team member. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
