Job Description:We are a high-profile US Based Company in Online Media looking for a Senior Perl Developer for hire. Over the last decade that weve been in business, our Web Development Team has produced some of the most ground-breaking, highly-scalable web sites that receive millions of page views on a consistent basis. If you are a strong PERL/JAVA programmer who can easily hit the ground running, wed like to hear from you ASAP. Individuals that have created modules for PERL will be brought to the front of the list. Object Oriented Design a must! You will be responsible for the full design, architecture, and development of back-end development in PERL. Client-facing experience with AJAX, JavaScript (jQuery), XML, PERL, API, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS and Server-side development with PHP, MySQL, and MVC framework. Requirements: - Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering - Must have excellent English speaking and writing skills for phone and email communication. - 4+ years of professional experience with PERL (PERL experience is required) or JAVA - PERL Module experience is a must! - Experience working in a Linux / UNIX environment (LAMP stack) - Object Oriented Programming. - Object Relational Mapping is a plus! - DBI module use is needed - AJAX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), XML, API Integration. - MVC frameworks such as Catalyst, Ruby, Zend, CakePHP, Symfony, CodeIgniter - MySQL database development such as writing/optimizing queries, updates, joins, etc. - MySQL database optimization. - Experience of Perl or JAVA is required. Programming will be done in Perl. - C++ knowledge is a must. - Experience developing and working with SOAP / Web Services - Multi-tasking abilities: able to work on several projects at once, in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic environment - Able to work independently and as a team-leader - Experience in an Agile / Scrum environment is preferred All applicants should be ready to take a Perl test before interview to separate themselves from the rest, as the best.
